After much discussion, we decided to build a bobblehead in his likeness.

Presenting Bobblehead Ben

Ben is an avid and amazing rock climber. Knowing this, we chose to design as many elements of the sport into the bobblehead. For instance, we had the manufacturer connect a pair of climbing shoes to the backpack through a carabiner.

Spot the ninja.

More pictures

The bobblehead was built by Whoopass!!! and took six weeks to build and deliver.

Congratulations Ben! Thank you for being a part of the OpenRain team.

More cowbell

Last Friday, our internal Haiku generator made a few public appearances on Twitter:

I made a Haiku
But you know what it needs now?
A lot more cowbell
#haiku

Around 3:00pm in the afternoon, Steven Shaffer stopped by the office with just about the coolest gift ever:

Thus proving that cowbell can, in fact, be prescribed to just about anything.

Thanks Steven!

Bug triage

Preston: It's becoming clear that anyone on the significant periods needs to have their own isolated office space
Saul: How about a soundproof booth? I was thinking it could also double as one of those things where people go in and try to grab all the money flying around in the air
Marc: Instead of money, we could print out Redmine/Trac tickets on sticky notes. Those are the bugs they need (or don't need) to fix.
Preston: That's so agile!

The bathroom keychain has evolved over the years. The first keychain was a series of rubber bands woven together. The second keychain consisted of looping wire ties of assorted colors. After those broke, the third keychain was an industrial paper clip.

Recently, Erica brought in a beautiful custom keychain she made out of bamboo plywood with a jigsaw.

Interruptions are hazardous

Saul: cozi.com [a CRM for managing families]
Erica: Saul, cozi looks cool. Right now we [erica + husband] use a mix of Google Calendar & TaData lists
Saul: I need to build a site like this before my kids get too much older.
Marc: Um.. I use this technique called "TALKING". It's pretty revolutionary. I'll have to describe the technique in detail sometime.
Saul: We're sitting right next to each other, and you're not talking to me now...
Marc: ....
Marc: I didn't want to interrupt Ben
